We're work hard for Ariane 6
Multimodal transport
Latesys, a European subsidiary of the ADF Group and a leader in the aeronautical engineering market, has been awarded a contract for the packaging and international transport of chamber and arms for the future Ariane 6 launcher.
The on-board/ground connection elements are composed of 4 main modules that will supply the Ariane 6 launcher. The chamber will supply the Lower Liquid Propulsion Module (LLPM) with oxygen and liquid hydrogen. The cryogenic arms, which will be positionned 37 meters above the ground on the ELA 4 launch pad, will supply the Upper Liquid Propulsion Module (ULPM).
The Packaging BU first packed the different elements composing the first chamber. Legendre Celtic then took charge og transporting them in exceptional convoys and loading them in flat rack beds onto the CMA CGM Cayenne ship in mid-February in Le Havre (France). Legendre Celtic the coordinated the unloading, customs clearance and delivery operations the the Guiana Space Center in Kourou.
The last 2 batches were completed in March and April 2021. The first Ariane 6 launch is scheduled for 2022.
